Robert C. “Robby” Baker

Mr. Robert C. “Robby” Baker, age 70, passed away Friday, May 27th, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.  He was born August 6th, 1940 in Owsley County, Kentucky to the union of Letcher and Bessie Roberts Baker.  He was a car salesman, a veteran of the U. S. Army, a 32nd degree Mason, an Oleika Shriner, and a member of the Oneida Community Church.

He is survived by his wife: Phyllis, his children: Charles David Baker and his wife Brandy of Manchester, Paula Baker Stefanovich of Lexington, Kentucky, and Micki Baker Williams and husband Brian of Manchester.  Also surviving are these grandchildren: Johnna Bray of Chicago, Illinois, Jordan Bray of Louisville, Kentucky, and Charlee Paige Baker of Manchester, and these sisters and brother: Elizabeth Couch and her husband Troy of Brutus, Margaret Youtsey of Burning Springs, and Paul C. Baker of Newport, Kentucky.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Letcher and Bessie Baker, and 1 brother: Harlan Baker.

Funeral Services for Mr. Robert C. “Robby” Baker will be Wednesday, June 1st, 2011 at 11 AM at the Oneida Community Church.  Rev. Jessie Baker, Rev. Charles Woods, and Rev. Joey Burns will be officiating.  A Masonic Service will be held immediately after the funeral service at the church.  Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in the Brutus Community with a full military honors service.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31st, from 6 PM until 9 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Rominger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Vicki Karen Wolfe

Vicki Karen Wolfe, age 59 of Saratoga Springs, New York, passed away Thursday, May 19th, 2011 in New York. She was born October 1st, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Edward Ray and Wilma Hacker Wolfe.

She is survived by: Edward Ray Wolfe Jr. of Bowling Green, Kentucky and her sister Linda Jo Wolfe of Wilmington, North Carolina and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Vicki Karen Wolfe will be Wednesday, May 25th, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Hacker Cemetery in Laurel County.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 24th, after 6 p.m. at the Rominger Funeral home Chapel.

Rominger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Thomas Lee Mathis

Thomas Lee Mathis, 32, of Burning Springs, the son of Brenda Sandlin, passed away Saturday at the Manchester Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services for Thomas Lee Mathis will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Allen officiating. Burial will follow at the Woods Cemetery at the Gabbard Fork.Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Britton Funeral Home.

T. J. Hibbard

Mr. T. J. Hibbard, age 86 of Greenbriar, passed away Friday, May 20th, 2011 at the Laurel Creek Health Care Center. He was born September 24th, 1924 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Hugh and Sarah Keith Hibbard. He was a truck driver and superintendent for North Manchester Water, and he is a member of the Pleasant Run Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Billie J. Hibbard of Greenbriar, his children: Bobby Lee Hibbard and his wife Janet of Midway, Kentucky, and Kathy Hacker and her husband: Jerry of Manchester, these grandchildren: David Hibbard, Sharon Turner, Jennifer Smith, and Jeremy Hacker, and these great grandchildren: Sydney, Cassidy, Kennedy, Colton, Jaxson, Thomas, and Holly. Also surviving is one brother: Hugh Hibbard, Jr. and his wife JoAnne of Sandusky, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Hugh and Sarah Hibbard, and these brothers and sister. Steve Hibbard, Estill Hibbard, and Martha Baker.

Funeral Services for Mr. T. J. Hibbard will be Sunday, May 22nd, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Greenbriar Cemetery in the Greenbriar Community.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 21st after 6 p.m. at the Rominger funeral Home Chapel.

Dorothy Smith

Mrs. Dorothy Smith, age 62,, of Morgan Branch, passed away Wednesday, May 18th, 2011 at her home. She was born March 10th, in 1949 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Joe and Rachel Bishop Sawyers.

She is survived by her husband: Herman Smith, and her children; Martha Sue Marcum and her husband Ricky of Elk Creek, and Linda Kaye Bowling and her husband Virgil of Hector, these grandchildren: Amanda Rachel Bowling, Erica Danelle Bowling, Sarena Hoskins, Michelle Collins, Andrew Jones, and Billy Darrell Alfred Collins. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Arnold Sawyers of Manchester, Tunis McQueen of Morgan Branch, Cloyd Burkhart of Fall Rock, Lois Henson of Fall Rock, Wilburn Sawyers of Paris, Kentucky and Esther Smith of Manchester.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Dorothy Smith will be Saturday, May 21, 2011at 2 p.m. at the Rominger Funeral Home. Rev. Bob Estep and Rev. Elbert Mitchell will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in the Fogertown Community.

Visitation will be Friday, May 20th, after 6 p.m. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
