Denver Bowling

Denver Bowling, 47, of Fogertown, the husband of Mattie bowling, passed away Friday at the Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services for Denver Bowling were held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Ted Eversole and Troy Hubbard officiating.  Burial followed at the Hibbard Cemetery at Hector.

Dora Spurlock, 92, of Oneida, passed away Thursday at the Laurel Creek Nursing Home.

Elizabeth Maupin

Elizabeth Maupin, 105, of Island Creek, passed away Wednesday at the Wellington Manor Nursing Home in Hamilton Ohio.
Funeral services for Elizabeth were held Sunday at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Roberts officiating.  Burial followed at the Hounchell bend Cemetery.

Troy Smith

Mr. Troy Smith, age 63 of Garrard, passed away Thursday, January 27th, 2011 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. He was born December 18th, 1947 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Charlie and Kathleen Ruby Eversole Smith. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the holiness church.

He is survived by his children: Lorene Hubbard and Ray of Garrard, Troy Dewayne Smith and wife Linda of Fogertown, and Jason Smith and wife Michelle of Island Creek. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren: Clarence Hubbard, Roy Dewayne Hubbard, Darrell Hubbard, Jessica Nichole Hubbard, Joshua Dewayne Hubbard, Kayla Ann Smith, Wesley Shane Hubbard, Katherine Nicole Smith, and Troy Dewayne Smith, 5 great grandchildren: Goldie Matrina Hubbard, Trevor Dewayne Hubbard, Serenity Lynn Hubbard, Zachary Dale Hubbard, and Isaiah Charlie Hubbard. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Roy C. Smith and wife Vanda of Mud Lick, Billy Wayne Smith of Mud Lick, Terry Smith and wife Sally of Georgetown, KY, Gary Smith and wife Inez of Miami, FL, George Smith and wife Teresa of Mud Lick, Danny Smith and wife Anna Lou of Mud Lick, Darrell Smith of Martins Creek, Rosaleen Eversole and husband Stacey of Otter Creek, and Cheryl Depew and husband Vernon of Mud Lick.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Charlie and Kathleen Ruby Smith, his wife: Goldie Smith and his grandson: Evan Dewayne Smith.

Funeral services for Mr. Troy Smith were Monday, January 31st, 2011 at 2 PM at the Mud Lick Church of the Brethren with Rev. Charles Eversole, Rev. Roy Allen Eversole, Rev. Charlie Hensley and Rev. Roscoe Roark officiating. Burial followed in the Smith and Couch Cemetery in the John’s Branch Community.

Visitation was Sunday, January 30th, after 3:30 PM at the Mud Lick Church of the Brethren. The Rominger Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Theo Wayne Webb

Theo Wayne Webb born on August 15th, 1935 passed away January 30, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Lexington, KY. Theo was the son of Kash and Maxine Webb of Oneida. He is survived by his wife Brenda Burns Webb, one son Greg Webb of Morrow, Ohio and 2 grandsons Gregory Webb of Loveland, Ohio and Garrett Webb of Morrow, Ohio.

Preceded in death by his parents Kash and Maxine Webb and infant son Gary Wayne Webb and brothers Kash Jr., Elmer, Conley and Bob Webb and two sisters Lotus Abner and Nancy Louise Webb.

Theo is survived by 2 sisters Irene Brandenburg of Oneida and Mary Ester Barnes of Sizerock and one brother Eugene Webb of Oneida.

Also surviving are nine nieces and fourteen nephews and many other friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Theo Wayne Webb will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Jesse Martin officiating. Burial will follow at the Maxaline Baker Cemetery at Oneida.

Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Thursday at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel. The Britton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
