Carol Robinson Goins

Carol Robinson Goins, age 63 of Manchester, passed away Tuesday, August 9th, 2011 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky.  She was born November 8th, 1947 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Ernest and Christine Alveras Robinson.  She was a social services receptionist and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She is survived by her daughter: Kendra Goins Cox and her husband Ray of Somerset, her grandchildren: Anderson Ruth and Kayla Carroll, and her mother: Christine Robinson.  Also surviving is her brother: John Robinson and his wife Ruth Johnston Robinson of London, her sister: Mattie Baumgartner and her husband Wayne of Litchfield, Minnesota, 1 niece: Amy Robert and her husband Stephen and 1 nephew: Josh Baumgartner, and her great niece and nephews: Michael Vincent, J. Colton, and Kyla.

She is preceded in death by her father: Ernest Robinson.

Funeral Services for Carol Goins will be Friday, August 12th, at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Mark Laws, the Pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in the Burning Springs Community.

Visitation will be Friday, August 12th, after 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Rominger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Violet Feltner

Violet Feltner, 56, of Vine Grove, KY., formerly of Clay County, passed away Tuesday at the Hardin Memorial Hospital at Elizabethtown.

She is survived by her mother, Martha Feltner, Elizabethtown, KY. & the following brothers & sisters: Roscoe H. Feltner & William J. Feltner, both of Manchester, Sherman Wayne Feltner, Westmoreland, Tenn., Reid Feltner, Jr., Vine Grove, Ky., Judy Reinheimer, Elizabethtown, KY. & Rita Davidson, Oneida.

She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services for Violet Feltner will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Sill Lee Officiating. Burial will follow at the Bowling Cemetery at Big Creek.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Friday at the Britton Funeral Home.

Cleo Wombles Smith

Cleo Wombles Smith, 74, of Billys Branch, passed away Thursday at her home.

She is survived by the following children:

Blackie Smith, Goose Rock, Belvia Wagers, Billys Branch, Mona Faye Sturgell, Barbourville, Rosie Jewell Wagers, Plank, & Lillie Faye Smith, Chop Bottom.

She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, & 1 brother, William Wombles, McKee, KY.

Funeral services for Cleo Wombles Smith will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Eversole & Roy Eversole officiating. Burial will follow at the Hampton Cemetery at Girdler, KY.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Saturday at the Britton Funeral Home.

Bernice Bowling

Bernice Bowling, 73, of Goose Rock, passed away Monday at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital at Somerset.

She was a retired cook at the Goose Rock Elementary School.

She is survived by her husband Waxford Bowling & 2 children; Dennis Bowling, Elk Creek, & Veda Combs, Goose Rock.

She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Ellis Harris, & 1 sister, Mae Napier, both of Goose Rock.

Funeral services for Bernice Bowling will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Lane Woods, Shaun Thompson, Lyle Sizemore, George Roberts, & Gary Harris officiating. Burial will follow at the Goose Rock Cemetery.

Visitation was held Wednesday evening at the Britton Funeral Home.

Brandy Nicole Haggard

Brandy Nicole Haggard, 28, of Dandridge, Tennessee, formerly of Manchester, passed away Wednesday at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington.
She is survived by her husband, Brandon Haggard & these children:  Cody Hubbard, Dandridge, Tenn., Gabrial Messer & Katie Messer, both of Barbourville, KY.
She is also survived by her parents, Terry & Pauline Marion, Dandridge, Tenn. And 3 brothers, Terry Marion, Timothy Marion, both of Edmonton, KY. and Wesley Marion, Dandridge, Tenn.
Funeral services fro Brandy Nicole Haggard will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at The Otter Creek Baptist Church with Herman Mills and George David Swafford officiating.  Burial will follow at The Goose Rock Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 12:00 Noon Sunday at the church.
Britton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
