Asher Family Expresses Thanks

We want to thank everyone that helped us in any way during our loss. The ones that brought food, donated money, and for all the flowers and gifts that were sent. A special thank you to the ones that said a prayer or who came to sit with us to give us comfort. We want to thank all the neighbors for coming to help us when we needed it most. A very special thank you to Brittons Funeral Home for a wonderful job that they done. Thank you to Linda Smallwood and her family for the beautiful songs they sung. A very very special thank you to the pastors Phillip Proffit, James Wagers, and George Roberts and also to the Pal Bears. Again, thank you to everyone.

Stella Hubbard

Stella Hubbard, 65, of Lockards Creeks, passed away Wednesday at her home. She is survived by 1 sister, Anna Hubard, Lockards Creeks, & several nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews & great great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brice & Lettie Hubbard, & these brothers, Ray Hubbard, Earl Hubbard & Clarence Hubbard. Funeral services for Stella Hubbard will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Baxter Corum & Bobby Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Jackson Cemetery at Lockards Creek. Visitation will be after 6:00 OM Saturday at the Britton Funeral Home.

Michael Dale Hensley, 41, of Oneida, passed away Tuesday as a result of an auto accident.

Funeral services for Michael Dale Hensley were held Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Oneida Baptist Church with John Routh and Joey burns officiating. Burial followed at the Johnny Martin Cemetery at Oneida

Lillian Davis

Lillian Davis, 87 of Manchester, passed away Wednesday at the Laurel Creek Health Care Center.

She is survived by 1 son, Claude Davis and Wife Libby, 2 grandchildren, William Corey Davis and Claudia Elizabeth Ann Davis, 1 sister, Molly Bellew, Baltimore, Maryland and a special niece, Betsy sue Hubbard Abner, Lexington, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Cora Smith and these brothers and sisters: Eva Mills, Mable Hubbard, Adda Broughton, Crit Smith, Clarence Smith and Fred Smith.

Funeral services for Lillian Davis were held Sunday at 4:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Todd Hicks officiating, Burial followed at the Andy Hubbard Cemetery at Bright Shade.

Lee Roy Gilliam

Lee Roy Gilliam, 62, of Goose Rock, passed away Saturday as a result of an auto accident.

Funeral services for Lee Roy Gilliam will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Liberty Baptist Church with Jesse Henson and Roscoe Roark officiating. Burial followed at the Gilliam Cemetery at Billy’s Branch.

Visitation was Tuesday evening at the church.
