James Monroe Newsome, 68, of Red bird, passed away Tuesday evening at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Newsome, and the following children: Arnold Pennza and James Leslie Newsome and wife Charlotte, of Oneida, Daniel Newsome, Cincinnati, Ohio, Scotty Newsome, Hamilton, Ohio, Shannon Adkins and husband Keith, Winchester, KY., Tonya Newsome and husband Josh, James Dillan Newsome, Tyler Newsome, and Brian Austin Newsome, all of Red Bird.
He also leaves 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Monroe Newsome, Jr.
Funeral services for James Monroe Newsome were held Friday at 11:00 A.M. at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Baker officiating. Burial followed at the Baker Cemetery at Red Bird.
Visitation was Thursday evening at the Britton Funeral Home.

June Davis Finley, age 82, of Greenbriar, passed away Saturday at the U.K. Medical Center at Lexington.
She was a member of the Liberty Worship Center and a retired schoolteacher.
She is survived by the following children: Morris Finley and wife Catherine, Kevin Finley, Debra Roberts and husband Rusty, and Renee Smith and husband Kenny.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and her sister: Esther Davis Baker of Manchester.
1 grandchild preceded her in death.
Funeral services for June Davis Finley will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at the Liberty Worship Center with Rusty Roberts and Billy Ledford officiating.
Burial will follow at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Tuesday at the Britton Funeral Home.

Louise Henson, age 36, of Hector, passed away Thursday at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital at Harrodsburg, KY.
Funeral services for Louise Henson were held Sunday at 1:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Wade Hacker officiating.
Burial followed at the Bowling Cemetery at Hector.

Walter H. Collins, age 92, of London, formerly of Clay County, passed away Friday at the Appalachia Regional Hospital at Hazard.
He is survived by the following children: Jerry Lee Collins of Indianapolis, IN., Geneva Henson of Garrard, and Brenda Napier of Gray Fork, Barbara Davis of Lexington, KY. and Juanita Sams of London, KY.
He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Walter H. Collins were held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Joey Burns officiating. Burial followed at the Abe Collins Cemetery at Greenbriar.
Visitation was after 6:00 PM Monday at the Britton Funeral Home.

Mary Catherine Gregory, age 57 of Sidell, passed away Tuesday, December 28th, 2010 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born August 11th, 1953 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of James B. and Hazel Gibson Gregory. She was a member of the Morgan Branch Pentecostal Church.
She is preceded in death by her father: James B. Gregory.
She is survived by her mother: Hazel Marie Gregory of Sidell, and these brothers and sisters: Ellis Gregory of Sidell, Kenny Gregory of Sidell, Glenn Gregory and friend Jean Bray of Sidell, Betty Napier and husband Ronald of Sidell, Linda Hensley and husband Ralph of Sidell and Bernice Collins and husband Bobby of Greenbriar, also surviving is a host of nieces and nephews who all loved her very much.
Funeral services for Mary Catherine Gregory were Friday, December 31st, 2010 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Reid officiating. Burial followed in the Sandlin Cemetery in the Rader Community.
Visitation was Thursday, December 30th, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. The Rominger Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
