Blanch Patrick

Blanch Patrick, age 47 of Billy’s Branch in Manchester, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at her home.  She was born July 30, 1965 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Grover and Nancy Webb Brewer.  She was a homemaker.
 
She is survived by her husband: Robert Patrick, her children: Nancy Mitchell, Abbie Mitchell, Abraham Mitchell, Robert Dean, and Rella Mitchell, her grandchildren: Jacob Henson, Gabrielle Henson, Adrienne Henson, Jasmine Henson and Treston Mitchell.  Also surviving are her sons-in-law: Wes Henson and Jamie Henson and her niece and nephew: Angela Combs and Richmond Lovins.
 
She is preceded in death by her parents: Grover and Nancy Brewer and her sister: Ollie Mae Lovins.
 
Funeral Services for Blanch Patrick will be on Friday, March 29, at 2 PM at the Billy’s Branch House of Prayer.  Rev. Jerry McKinley, Rev. Jerry Holland, and Rev. Paul Mitchell will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mitchell and Combs Cemetery in the Billy’s Branch Community.
 
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 27, after 6 PM and on Thursday at the Billy’s Branch House of Prayer.

Vergie Smith

Vergie Smith, 70, of Manchester, was born, August 30, 1942, passed away, March 31, 2013 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London.
She is survived by her husband: Wayne Smith, of Horse Creek.
She is also survived by these children: Patricia Smith, of New Orleans, La, Pamela Stanley and Johnathan Wayne Smith, both of Horse Creek, and one grandson, Donald Wayne Stanley.
Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Arvil Swafford, of Beech Creek, Arlie Swafford, of Manchester, Mildred Edwards, Edna Downey, and Verna McDaniel, all of Horse Creek, and Ella Mae McDaniel, of Hogskin.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Cloyd and Nettie Swafford, and two brothers, Oscar Swafford, and Dennis Swafford.
Funeral services for Vergie Smith will be at 1 PM Wednesday at the Britton Funeral Home chapel with Kenny Smith and Earnest Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Swafford Cemetery at Otter Creek.  Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at the Britton Funeral Home.

Beatrice Travillian

Mrs. Beatrice Travillian, age 83 of Manchester, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky.  She was born July 16, 1929 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Kelly and Laura Sams Hoskins.  She was a retired cook for the Clay County Board of Education and a member of the Island Creek Missionary Baptist Church. 
 
She is survived by her children: Darrell Wayne Hoskins and his wife Janet of Manchester, Laura Lynn Bowman and her husband Lloyd of Holly, Michigan, and Jerry Travillian of Somerset.  Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild as well as these sisters and brother: Sallie Crieg of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bonnie Corum of Manchester, and Ivory Hoskins of South Carolina.
 
She is preceded in death by her parents: Kelly and Laura Hoskins, her husband: Garrett Travillian, her son: Terry Travillian, her sisters: Sylvia Bowling and Ann Sizemore, and her great granddaughter: Alyssa Janalee Hoskins.
 
Funeral Services for Mrs. Beatrice Travillian will be conducted on Friday, March 29, at 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. George Grigsby will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
 
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 28, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Lucy Vaughn

Lucy Vaughn, 93, of Manchester, was born May 3rd, 1919, passed away Tuesday, March 26th, 2013 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by the following children: Benny Vaughn, Glenn Vaughn, Ronnie Vaughn, Gill Vaughn and wife, Hazel, Mary A. Vaughn, Rosetta Vaughn, and Linda Vaughn, all of Manchester, Jay Vaughn, and wife, Lisa, of Midway, and Ernest Vaughn and wife, Stella, of Versailles.

She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and her brother, Luther Vaughn and wife, Lou Ellen, of Manchester.

Funeral services for Lucy Vaughn will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Britton Funeral Home chapel with Carl Henson, Sill Lee, and Roger Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bundy Cemetery at Cool Springs.

Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Britton Funeral Home.

Doris Jean Henson

Doris Jean Henson, 69, of Manchester, was born March 1st, 1944, passed away March 17th, 2013, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, in Somerset.

She is survived by her husband, Amel Henson, and these children: Terry Henson, Amel Dewayne Henson and wife, Kimberly, and Linda Day and husband, Charles Ed Gray, all of Manchester, Tommy Henson and wife, Michelle Coffey, of Nicholasville, Norma Davidson and husband, Joseph Dezarn, of Paces Creek, and Jennifer Swafford and husband, Barry, of Burning Springs.

She is also survived by the following grandchildren: Timothy Henson, Dewayne Day, Tiffany Day, Cameron Smith, Jessie Hunter, LeeAnn Davidson, Blake Dezarn, Jordan Delph, Trevor Henson, Isaiah Hatfield, Braydon Swafford, Amber Abney, Trinity Abney, Alex Abney, McKenzie Abney, Madson Abney, and Jacob Abney, one brother, Bobby Smith, of Horse Creek, and one sister, Frannie Johnson, also of Horse Creek.

Funeral services for Doris Jean Henson will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Britton Funeral Home chapel with George Roberts and Carl Henson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Goose Rock Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m. Thursday and after 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Britton Funeral Home.
