Mr. Scotty Dale Gilbert, age 33, of Oneida passed away on December 21, 2012 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was a carpenter and a member of the Church of God Worship Center. He is survived by his wife: Anita Ann Gilbert; 2 children: Destiney Hope Gilbert and Whitney Butler; and 1 sister: Sondra Lee Sandlin; and his parents: Oakley and Bertha Lee Gilbert.
Graveside Services will be held Sunday, December 23 at 2 PM at the Cap Baker/Squire Hensley Cemetery at Oneida with the Rev. Joey Burns and Bro. Truman Murphy officiating. Rominger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Brenda Sue Sandlin, age 57 of Manchester, passed away Sunday, January 6, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center in Somerset, Kentucky. She was born June 6, 1955 in Clay County, to the union of Chester and Jessie Burt Woods.
She is survived by her grandchildren: Chester Allen Woods, Jr., Chelsea Woods, Chasity Woods, and Tomeka Mathis, her brothers and sisters: Linda Jones of Cynthiana, Kentucky, Charlene Bowling of Manchester, Jim Woods of Manchester, Bob Roberts of Booneville, Kentucky, Floyd Woods of Manchester, and Gary Woods of Virginia.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Chester and Jessie Woods, and her children: Chester Allen Woods and Thomas Lee Mathis.
Funeral Services for Brenda Sue Sandlin will be at 1 PM on Wednesday, January 9, at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jay Mathis and Rev. Steve May will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Woods Cemetery in the Sacker Community.
Visitation will be Tuesday, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Kersley Smith, 59, of Corbin, formerly of Clay County, was born February 21, 1953, passed away, January 5, 2013.
He is survived by one son, Patrick Smith, of Corbin, and one daughter, Joanie Henson, of Horse Creek.
He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Lester Smith, of Hardinsburg, James Smith of Little Rock, AK, Maynard Smith, of Goose Rock, Melvin Smith, of Martins Creek, Eurilla Smith, of Manchester, and Priseilla Roark, of Martins Creek.
He was preceded in death by his son, Curtis Lee Smith.
Funeral services for Kersley Smith will be 12 noon Wednesday, gravesite, at the Goins Cemetery at Horse Creek, with Tess Lipps officiating.
Evelyn Feltner Langdon, 83, of London, formerly of Big Creek, was born October 2, 1929, passed away January 4, 2013, at the Mary Breckenridge ARH hospital, in Hyden.
She is survived by one son: Gary Foister, of London, one daughter, Deborah Feltner and husband Earl, of Big Creek.
She is also survived by 2 grandchildren: Leslie Michele Feltner and Brandon Earl Feltner, and 1 great grandchild, Kayleigh Ann Stidham.
She was preceded in death by her son, Harold Russell Foister.
Funeral services for Evelyn Feltner Langdon will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Britton Funeral Home chapel with John Pugh and Jerry Maggard officiating. Burial will follow in the Polly Marcum Cemetery at Big Creek.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Sunday at the Britton Funeral Home.
Mr. Dan Woods born March 25, 1932 departed this life on Sunday December 30, 2012 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY being 80-years, 9-months, and 5-days of age at the time of his passing. Dan was born at Saul, Kentucky the son of the late John Woods and the late America Carmack Woods. Dan Had lived in Indiana and Florida before returning home to Clay County in 1989 residing at 7607 Hwy. 1482 – Oneida, Kentucky. Mr. Dan Woods was the Founder and Pastor of the Fairview Baptist Church, and enjoyed Ginsenging and Being around People. Above all Dan was a loving Father and Grandfather, and enjoyed bringing the Ministry to people, as he dedicated his life to the Lord. Mr. Dan Woods was preceded in death by Wife – Dorothy Woods, Son – Chester Woods, Parents – John and America Woods, Two Brothers – Felix and Chester Woods, and One Grandchild – Greg Woods.

Woods of Oneida, KY and Mark Woods & wife Keshia of Oneida, KY; Four Daughters – Kathy Filegar & husband John of Montverd, Florida, Jean Woods of Barboursville, KY, Cookie Ruetz & husband Steve of Montverd, Florida and Tootsie Brown & husband Jimmy of Oneida, KY; One Brother – George Woods of Saul, KY; Seven Sisters – Violet Ross of Booneville, KY, Helen Rice, Lavenia Barger, Emma Gay and Cassie Mills all of Saul, KY, Rachel Gay of Oneida, Ky and Martha Gay of Lily, KY; 22-Grandchildren, 13-Great Grandchildren, a host of Step-Grandchildren, and a host of other Relatives and Friends Survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Dan Woods will be conducted on Wednesday January 2, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Fairview Baptist Church at 7590 Hwy. 1482 Oneida, KY with Bob Rice, Jesse Martin, Harold Godsey and Carl Brown officiating. The Interment will follow in the Government Cemetery located at Saul, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Fairview Baptist Church on Tuesday Evening starting at 5:00 P.M. with additional services to be held that evening.
