Angela Dawn Wesse

Angela Dawn Wessel, 34, of Greenbriar, the wife of Jeff Wessel, passed away Wednesday at her home.  Funeral services for Angela Dawn Wessel were held Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with George David Blair officiating.  Burial followed at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.

Andy Hubbard

Mr. Andy Hubbard, age 72 of Fall Rock, passed away Sunday, April 10th, 2011 at the Hyden Nursing Home in Hyden, Kentucky.  He was born February 12th, 1939 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Floyd and Sarah Hubbard.  He was an automobile body repairman.  He is survived by his children:  Russell Hubbard of Manchester, Glen Hubbard of London, Anita Smith of Manchester, Christina Hubbard of Arlington, Texas, and Billy Hubbard of Arlington, Texas.  Also surviving are 11 Grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 sisters:  Allie Hoskins and Bessie Hicks both of Manchester, and 2 brothers:  Woodrow Hubbard of London, and Richard Hubbard of Manchester.  Funeral Services of Mr. Andy Hubbard will be Tuesday, April 12th, at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Smith-Hubbard Cemetery in the Sacker Road Community.  Visitation will be Monday, April 11th, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Amy Faye Greer Brown

Amy Faye Greer Brown, born January 4, 1943, passed away April 8, 2011.  She was a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ.  Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents Haskell Greer and Patsy June Rader Greer and one special nephew, Richard “Bo” Napier.  She is survived by her husband, Johnny Brown of Sexton’s Creek; one son, Russell Brown and wife Mary, of Burning Springs; two daughters, Daphene Lewis and husband Jimmy of Sexton’s Creek; Darlene Martin and husband Lonnie, of Potersburg.  She is also survived by seven Grandchildren: Rebecca Ownes, Emily Jackson, John “Rusty” Martin, Miranda Swafford, Michael Martin, Rachel “Katie” Martin, and Calley Lewis.  Amy Faye Greer Brown is survived by six great-grandchildren:  Brianda Owens, Thomas Jackson, Brandan Owens, Aaron Martin, Ethan Jackson, and Payton Martin.  Also surviving are three sisters:  Dorothy Rogers of Potersburg, Marjorie Napier of Fogertown, Gail Bowling and husband John of Island Creek.  Visitation will be Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 6:00 PM.  Memorial services will be directed Jeremy Bowling at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 11 at the Britton Funeral Home in Manchester.  Burial will be at the Greer Family Cemetery of Robinson Creek.  Amy Faye Greer Brown will be remembered by devotion to  her family, her church, as well as her brothers and sisters of Christ, how that she accepted change and looked forward to new experiences with enthusiasm and courage.

Walter Craig Swafford


Walter Craig Swafford, 48, of 1848 Flat Lick Road London, KY passed away on Wednesday March 30, 2011 at his residence.  He was the son of Joe and Shirley Swafford of London, KY.  He was the brother of Kyle Swafford and wife Deanna.  The uncle of Austin Clay and Macee Joe Swafford all of London, KY.  Graveside service April 2, 2011 2:00PM  at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.  Minister Anthony Lovett. Shafter Hacker


Mr. Shafter Hacker, age 60 of Birmingham, Alabama, the son of Jack and the late Bonnie Sue Hacker, passed away on Tuesday, March 29th, at his home.  He was born August 9th, 1950 in Clay County, Kentucky.  He was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife: Deborah Hacker of Birmingham, Alabama, his sons: James Matthew Hacker of Lexington and Jon Russel Hacker of Lexington, his granddaughter: Lydia Marie Hacker of Manchester, and his father: jack Hacker of Manchester.

He is preceded in death by his mother: bonnie Sue Hacker.

Funeral services for Mr. Shafter Hacker will be held on Thursday, March 31st, 2011 at 7 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be Friday, April 1st, 2011 at 12 PM at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 31st, 2011 from 6 PM until 8 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Rominger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
