Virginia May Depew, 89, of Plant City, Florida and Manchester, Kentucky, departed this life on July 15, 2011. 
She is survived by her son Billy Ray Edwards (Sharon), and daughter-in-law Brenda Edwards; brother Prentice Depew (Rose); grandchildren Michael Edwards (Melanie), Julie Edwards, Billy Ray Edwards, Jr. (Billie Jo), Paul Randell Edwards, Jr. (Rainbow), Tina Edwards, and Eddie Wayne Edwards; niece Audrey Plemmons (Dick); 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Lillian Mullins

Lillian Mullins, 79 of Bloomington, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at her residence.

Born, February 18, 1932 in Oneida, KY, she was the daughter of Howell and Sarah Bowling.

She was a remarkable mother and grandmother who raised seven children on her own. She retired from Arvin Automotive after 25 years. She lived a very comfortable life in Bloomington surrounded by her children and dog (Buddy). She also had a collection of over 200 owls from around the world.

Survivors include her children, Jim Mullins (Debbie) of Indianapolis, Dale Mullins of Louisville, Lt. Col. Terry Mullins of Indianapolis, Mike Mullins (Debbie) of Spencer, Teresa Pearson (Doug) of Bloomington, Janet Barnard (Everett) of Indianapolis, Brandon Mullins (Elizabeth) of Richmond, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and nine brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death her mother, father and a sister.

Services will be 10:30am Friday, July 22, 2011 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN 47401.

Visitation will be 4-8pm Thursday at The Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at White Oak Cemetery.

Lynda F. Sester

Lynda F. Sester

Lynda F. Sester, age 62, of Island Creek passed away Sunday, July 17 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents – Robert and Jane Sester, and her brother – Bobby Sester. She leaves surviving her significant other for over 15 years – Robert Jackson Hinkle and her child by fate – Amy Young of Manchester and her brother – Mike Sester of Georgetown, KY and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Lynda Sester will be Tuesday, July 19 at 2:00 PM at Rominger Funeral Home Chapel with Father Patrick Stewart officiating.

Burial will be in Martin Cemetery – Island Creek Community. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM until the funeral time of 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Rominger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Homer Jackson

Homer Jackson, 87, of Bright Shade, passed away Sunday at the Laurel Creek Nursing Home.

He is survived by the following children: William Jackson, Goose Rock, M.C. Jackson, Ogdon, Utah, Wilson Jackson, Lexington, KY., Lynn Jackson, Otter Creek, & Stella Jackson, Bright Shade.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Molly Jackson, & his son, Dennis Jackson.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, & the following brothers & sisters: Ora Jackson, Bright Shade, Alex Jackson, Fall Rock, Baxter Jackson & Leon Jackson, Greenbriar, Mae Mills, Garrard & Clara Sizemore, Hamilton, Ohio.

Funeral services for Homer Jackson will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Homer Jackson Cemetery at Bright Shade. Visitation will be after 11:00 Wednesday at the Britton Funeral Home.
