Clay County X-C Wins OBI Meet

The Clay County cross-country team had a very successful meet last Friday at Oneida Baptist Institute.

The team placed at the meet with 27 points overall, besting OBI and Owsley County.

Clay County Golfer is First Freshman to Win Award in History

For the first time since it’s inception, the Kentucky High School Mr. Golf award was won by a freshman.

Clay County freshman Tyler “Chip” McDaniel became the first freshman to win the coveted award after a very successful season on the links.

The Mr. Golf award is given based on a season-long race during which golfers accumulate points at select tournaments.
