Six-Month Investigation leads to drug arrest

A six-month investigation into drug trafficking by the Clay County Sheriff’s office has led to the arrest of a Clay County man according to Sheriff Kevin Johnson. Lead investigator, Deputy Taye Napier arrested Jason Frazier, age 32 at his Little Creek resident after finding marijuana, meth, opiates and a firearm.

Delph enters guilty plea in Eli Marcum murder case

Vernon Renus “Red” Delph has pleaded guilty in his role in the death of Eli Marcum and agreed to a 120 month sentence. According to his plea agreement Delph said he saw Gerald Lee “Jerry” Sizemore hold Eli Marcum around the neck and stab him so deeply that Sizemore “effectively skewered” Marcum’s mid-section.

Three charged with shoplifting car batteries

Three Knox County residents are facing shoplifting charges after being caught stealing car batteries from Manchester Wal-Mart. After a report of two males caring out a battery from the Wal-Mart loss prevention team Manchester Police Officer Jimmy Smith and Assistant Chief Patrick Robinson arrived on the scene.
