Old Fashion Downtown Christmas

The City of Manchester and the Manchester Tourism Commission presents an Old Fashion Downtown Christmas Saturday December 2 featuring the Annual Christmas Bazaar, Carriage Rides, Pictures with Santa, entertainment, a parade and three major attractions. The annual parade with over ten floats will begin at 6 PM with lineup beginning at 5 PM. All parade entries must have a Christmas theme. If a political candidate wants to sponsor a float they can have a sign that is 11×14 inches or less. If you would like to be a vendor, a part of the parade or entertainment, call City Hall at 606-598-3555 and ask for Mamie. Vendors will need to furnish their own tent.

The Carriage Ride will begin at the Gazebo and will cost $5.00 per ride. The Bazaar will be set up in front of the library and over twenty-five vendors have already signed up. Santa pictures will be taken at Restore Massage on Main Street.

Three main events will be held from Noon till four with local entertainment from four till six. Ice Skating, Snowzilla Jr. and Toboggan Tunnel will be held Noon till 4 PM. The synthetic skating rink will be a featured attraction.

Get ready for the most exhilarating ride you will take this winter! The brand new Toboggan Tunnel combines speed, adrenaline and mystery in one amazing attraction. At over 15 feet tall and 45 feet long this slide is a mountainous adventure. With the twin roller lanes covered by a snow covered tunnel. Once inside you will bring your toboggan to the top of the slide and prepare to take flight! There is no other slide like this in the United States.

At almost 35 feet tall and 90 feet long Snowzilla Jr. guarantees to be that winter slide you are looking for! Climb 20 feet of rugged terrain to the summit and at the top of your hike you are faced with almost 50 feet of exhilarating slide! Beneath this massive winter themed slide is an enclosed jumping area moonwalk.
