First Lieutenant Steve Reid Price was the pilot of the P-51 Mustang Fighter Plane “Kentucky Babe” in World War Two. He was assigned to the 352nd Fighter Group, 328th Squadron stationed northeast of London in Bodney, England.
Tigers drop two of three at WYMT Mountain Classic; Perry Central, 13th region rival South throttle Clay
Many predicted a South Laurel/Clay County game in the WYMT Mountain Classic. It would be a championship game featuring the two best teams in the 13th region. Fans got their wish, but it was for third place as both teams were beaten in the semi-finals (South to Harlan County and Clay to Perry Central).
