Weather canceled the much anticipated match-up with Clay County and Perry Central last week to close out the regular season. That sent Tiger coach Robert Marcum scrambling to find an opponent for senior night; enter Cordia, the defending All-A state champions.

Kehler hits for 26 points in Lady Mountaineer win

MADISON KEHLER, of Oneida Baptist Institute, recently scored her 2,000 pt. at the school. OBI personnel say, she is the first female basketball player to achieve this feat in school history. The senior is averaging 20 ppg. and has hit 64 three-pointers this year.

For the first time ever, the play-in game of the 49th district tournament was held off-site from the host school (Jackson County) as Oneida Baptist Institute and Red Bird met in opening round games for both the boy’s and girl’s.
