Tigers drop two of three at WYMT Mountain Classic; Perry Central, 13th region rival South throttle Clay

Many predicted a South Laurel/Clay County game in the WYMT Mountain Classic. It would be a championship game featuring the two best teams in the 13th region. Fans got their wish, but it was for third place as both teams were beaten in the semi-finals (South to Harlan County and Clay to Perry Central).

For the second year in a row, the Tigers will travel to South Laurel’s hostile environment and come away with a victory. It won’t be an easy task Thursday night considering what the Cardinals did to them in the WYMT tournament.
