A fugitive has been arrested after being on the run since July. Chase Prilaman, age 32 of Manchester was jailed by Clay County Sheriff Deputy Taye Napier just before midnight Friday.
Six defendants were sentenced in Clay Circuit Court including Zakery R. Burritt and Gary Daniels who were given ten years each.
Police are currently investigating two murders and a car accident that occurred in July. The Clay County Sheriffs Office is in charge of the investigation into the death of Trevor Dykes and the Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of Lawrence Sizemore, Jr. and a head on collision that occurred on the Hal Rogers Parkway.
Sizemore who was better known as Larry was discovered in his burned out Sexton’s Creek home (July 13). Kentucky State Police are now considering his death a murder according to Public Affairs Officer Lloyd Cochran.
Four Clay County residents have been arrested following investigations by Kentucky State Police Troopers. Tony Sizemore, Dorothy Mullins, Susie Grubb and David Revis were placed in the Clay County Detention Center after being charged on outstanding warrants.
A Manchester man arrested on DUI charges according to Laurel County Sheriff John Root. Larry Swafford, age 53 of Mountain View Heights Apartments (Manchester) was found off East Laurel Road, five miles east of London.
Danny W. Stewart is scheduled to be in Clay Circuit Court Monday August 31 for a review of his murder case. Stewart, age 26 was indicted by a Clay County Grand Jury on charges of murder, robbery (first degree) and burglary (first degree). These charges stem from the October (2013) death of Carl House at his home on Ben House Road. Kentucky State Police Nick Metcalf discovered the victim deceased of an apparent gunshot wound.
Desmond E. Thompson is scheduled to appear before Circuit Judge Oscar Gayle House to be sentenced in Clay County Circuit Court Monday August 31 on three separate indictments.
