Neal flown to UK following two-car accident

A two-car accident on Highway 638 Monday sent two people to the hospital and totaled both vehicles. Joanne Sizemore age 27 of Beech Creek Road was traveling east in a 2007 Pontiac G6 when she apparently loss control of her car striking a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Ricky Neal, age 44 of Upper Rader Road.

Napier out as Tiger football coach

Napier-Evan-copySuperintendent Dr. Amon Couch announced Monday a search committee would be formed to find a new coach for the Tiger football team.

The superintendent released head coach Evan Napier and his staff Monday afternoon following their third straight losing season. Napier finished at 7-26 over three seasons as the head coach.

“Kentucky Wild” a Big Hit

Clay County Sheriff Kevin Johnson and his deputies were in the national spotlight this week after the airing of “Kentucky Wild” on the National Geographic channel program Southern Justice.
Following the premier showing the video of the program was posted on the Manchester Enterprise facebook page. In less than a week the post received over 14,000 hits, breaking the website’s record. Only two other posts have reached 10,000 hits.
