Fire at Brightshade

At approximately 23:27 PM on May 8th, 2024, the City of Manchester Fire Department was notified by Clay County E-911 for a mutual aid response to the Bright Shade Fire Department, for a residential structure fire.

Upon arrival, the residence was fully involved with fire. Firefighter’s assisted Bright Shade FD with protecting surrounding exposures, which included a large propane cylinder near the residence.

Firefighters cleared shortly with no further incident.
