Edna "Teddie" Densford

Edna "Teddie" Densford, left this world peacefully at 9:10 PM on October 17, 2024, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour, Indiana. Born in Manchester, Kentucky, Teddie was a pillar of strength and love for her family.
Teddie dedicated her life to serving others. She owned and operated Densford's 5 & 10 in Crothersville, IN, and Teddie's Ceramics, where her creative spirit flourished. She also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Hoosier Christian Village and the Lutheran Home, touching countless lives with her kindness and compassion.
Her commitment to her faith was evident through her active membership at Bethany Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and volunteered with the American Baptist Women's Association. Teddie was also a proud leader in the Bethany Bombers 4-H Club, always encouraging and supporting the youth in her community.
Teddie was a devoted mother and grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love that will be cherished by her children, Monty (Dee) Densford of Austin, IN, and Suzanne (Kevin) Teulker of Brownstown, IN, along with her seven grandchildren: Brandy Henry, Natasha Spears, Courtney (Josh) Densford-Hodge, Chance (Tinisha) Densford, Josh (Madi) Teulker, Kayla (Kyle) Minton, and Kloe Teulker. She also leaves behind 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She is survived by her two beloved sisters, Ruth Reynolds of Tampico, IN, and Ethel Benson of Seymour, IN. Teddie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mamie (Depew) Maxie, siblings Burchell, Gilbert, Georgia, Sadie, Ada, Baby Evelyn, and Steve Maxie, as well as one great-grandson, Cameron T. Densford.
A celebration of Teddie's remarkable life will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory in Crothersville, IN, conducted by Rev. David Schill. Burial will follow at Russell Chapel Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to visit on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the service time.
Teddie's warm spirit and selfless heart will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate to know her. In her honor, may we all strive to love and serve others as she did.
