Clay County Days to Kick Off with ‘Parade of Heroes’ Honoring Local First Responders and Veterans

MANCHESTER, Ky. — The Clay County Days festival will begin with a heartfelt tribute to the community’s everyday champions as the Parade of Heroes rolls through Downtown Manchester on Thursday, May 29, 2025. The event’s theme, “Hometown Heroes,” will spotlight the vital contributions of first responders, healthcare workers, and veterans.
Lineup for the parade begins at 5:00 p.m., with the procession officially starting at 6:00 p.m. Organizers are inviting local businesses, churches, schools, organizations, clubs, and individuals to participate and help honor those who serve and protect the community.
A trophy and monetary prize will be awarded to the best float, with the winning float’s organization keeping the trophy for one year until a new champion is crowned during the 2026 celebration.
