It started on Friday with her performance at the Nashville Zoo showcasing The Jose Music Awards Artist who were selected to perform for their Josie Music Fest and it was the first time ever any musician was allowed to perform there.
Sam accompanied by her fiancé Julianna who has been recently co-writing with Sam and was backed up by an awesome lead guitar player, Kody Baker from Hazard,KY and during their musical set Forrest Sanders from Nashville Channel News 5 did a interview with Sam in which she told about her struggle with drug abuse as a teen and how Clay Co Drug Court and music being able to save her life and turn it around. The tape was broadcasted on their 6:00 PM news that evening and was very impressive.
The next day, Saturday, Sam got to perform at the well known Nashville's Row Kitchen and Pub and was invited to do so by KY's Renae Collins Cobb and her husband Warren who are well known for promoting and supporting KY artist with their Listen Locally Kentucky and Overtones Live programs. She had a blast and then it was on to the JMA Pre Party and Gala that was held in the famous Studio A at the Grand Ole Opry. Many of the JMA Nominees attended as well as several celeberties in music and social media. One in particular that Sam got to meet and became friends with was Kisha Royse, entrepreneur, makeup artist and famous youtube blogger.
Then came Sunday and Sam who had won Female Social Impact Song of The Year in 2021 and last year Female Country Single of The Year was extremely nervous and worried about winning again even though she was nominated in 2 categories from the unbelievable 66,000 submissions from around the world that the JMA received. With lots of prayers and lots of luck Sam Roarks name was called to the Grand Ole Opry stage for her 3rd consecutive award. It was then her dream come true, stepping into the famous center circle to give her acceptance speech for winning the Country Music Female Vocalist of The Year. Also several KY groups won awards including Renee Collins Cobb, The Goodwin Brothers, the amazing KMM (Ky Music Mafia), Rags and Riches, and Chase Bush just to name a few.
