Lady Tigers close out regular season at home

February 15, 2024

(MANCHESTER, Ky.) – The Lady Tigers will look to close out their season at home as they host two solid opponents before the district tournament. McCreary Central and Buckhorn both come to town with bad intentions. Clay County needs these two wins to get themselves in a good spot before the district tournament begins.

McCreary Central – The Lady Tigers were supposed to play McCreary earlier in the season, but snow called for a cancellation. Now, these two can finally go head-to-head in action. The Lady Raiders are led by Kennedy Creekmore (16.9ppg) and Maylee Creekmore (12.3ppg). The sisters are one of the best duos in the 12th region, and Clay County must slow down both for success. Tip is scheduled for 7;30PM, February 20th, at Clay County High School.

Buckhorn – Sitting at 7-18, Buckhorn has been previously defeated by the Lady Tigers twice this season already. Is a third victory in the cards? Clay County will look to slow down the scoring of Haylee-Drew Blank, who averages 9.4ppg. Olivia Richardson adds 7.7ppg, Taylor Miller 5.5ppg, and Lyla Wooten 4.0ppg. Clay County should handle their business in this home matchup to close out the season. Tip is scheduled for 7:30PM, February 22nd, at Clay County High School.
