George Roberts

George Roberts, 91, of Cedar Grove, Indiana, formerly of Dunwoody Rd., Oxford, passed away, Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at Fort Hamilton Hospital in the Hospice Care Unit. He was born March 2, 1913 in Clay County, Kentucky, the son of Canaan and Nancy (Foul) Roberts. At the age of 14 he moved to Hamilton. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army for 6 years. He worked for Walker Pluming Company and Rose Hill Cemetery. He retired from Miami University where he worked in the Boiler Room. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Genie Kimball Roberts; his parents; 9 brothers and 1 sister. He spent his last years with his adopted family Leon and Lou Ann Day and their children. He will be missed by his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, December 3, 2004 at the Smith & Ogle Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of the funeral at the funeral home. We wish to thank McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital, Hospice at Fort Hamilton Hospital and Dr. Hunt.
