The City of Manchester has purchased a brand-new 2026 Peterbilt garbage truck to service residents and businesses within the city limits.
The truck was bought outright, with no lease required, thanks to available city funds. Mayor Steve Collins said the purchase reflects the city’s commitment to improving essential services.
“This is a big step forward for Manchester,” Collins said. “By being financially responsible, we were able to make this purchase without a lease, and that means better service for our citizens and long-term savings for the city.”
City officials say the new vehicle will strengthen the sanitation department’s ability to provide reliable waste collection across the community.
