Gregory Branch woman faces multiple charges following bizarre incident

MANCHESTER — A Gregory Branch woman was arrested Monday night after police say she assaulted a man, engaged in sexual activity involving a dog and later fled from a Kentucky State Police trooper.

Priscilla Lovins, 39, of Gregory Branch, was arrested following an incident reported at approximately 11:27 p.m. Aug. 4.

According to the police citation, Kentucky State Police Trooper Jacob Schwab was contacted by Clay County 911 regarding a complaint that Lovins was allegedly having sexual contact with a dog and had assaulted a man on Gregory Branch.

When Schwab arrived, he reported finding Lovins chasing people around the parking lot of the Fuzzy Duck.

Schwab attempted to make contact with Lovins, but she allegedly fled. According to the citation, the trooper warned Lovins that she would be tased if she did not stop.

Lovins was subsequently taken into custody and placed inside Schwab's cruiser, where police allege she began striking the interior of the vehicle.

As Schwab investigated the original complaint, witnesses told the trooper they had observed Lovins allowing the dog to lick her genital area and said she was making sexual movements against the animal, according to the citation.

Lovins was charged with sexual crimes against animals, first-degree assault, first-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, first-degree disorderly conduct and alcohol intoxication, first or second offense.
