The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 11 Office advises the public that the U.S. Forest Service is conducting prescribed fire operations within the Redbird Wildlife Management Area today in Leslie County, and is expected to last through nighttime hours.
Motorists traveling in the area should use extra caution, as smoke may be visible along:
• U.S. 421, east of Big Creek
• Hal Rogers Parkway, east of Big Creek
Visibility may become temporarily reduced, especially during early morning or evening hours. Drivers are encouraged to slow down, use headlights, and remain alert for possible smoke drift and personnel working in the area.
