One injured in US 421 south accident

One person was severely injured in a one-vehicle accident in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

At approximately 01:25 AM on May 8th, 2024 City of Manchester Fire Department was notified by Clay County E-911 for a motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, firefighters worked to extricate one subject from vehicle whom was trapped. Firefighters removed the passenger side door to gain access to the patient. After successfully being extricated the subject was then placed into care of Clay County EMS. Personnel remained on scene while the wreck was cleaned up before clearing without incident.
