Corbin man threatens to harm woman

On the night of April 5th, 2024, Laurel County Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested Rodney Vineyard, a 43-year-old man from Corbin. The arrest took place off Cardinal Drive, which is approximately 10 miles south of London.

The deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a male subject attempting to break the window of a residence and threatening to harm a female. Upon arriving at the scene, the deputies discovered that the individual had driven to the residence in a black Chevrolet Colorado.

The deputies observed that the individual was stumbling and had slurred speech and glossy eyes, indicating that he was under the influence. After he briefly resisted arrest, Vineyard was taken into custody. He was charged with several offenses, including operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct – second-degree, menacing, attempted assault – third-degree – police officer is victim – non-communicable body fluids, driving on a DUI suspended license – first offense, and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle prohibited.

Vineyard was eventually lodged in the Laurel County correctional center.
