April 12, 2024

On April 10, 2024, at approximately 1:08 am, London City Police Officer Mikey Ashurst took down Treston C. Webb, a 20-year-old resident of London, KY, after he was caught driving at more than 100 mph on his red Sport Bike.

Officer Ashurst, while on his routine patrol, was conducting stationary radar when he spotted Webb. In an attempt to stop him, Officer Ashurst activated his emergency equipment, but the reckless Webb tried to escape at a high speed, only to be chased down by Officer Ashurst through Jackson County and then into Owlsey County.

Webb's attempt to flee the scene turned futile when he ran off the side of the road and was eventually taken into custody after a brief struggle. Webb was later lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center, where he will face charges of Speeding 26 mph or more, Fleeing or Evading Police - 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle), Reckless Driving, Driving with a DUI Suspended License - 1st Offense (Aggravating Circumstance), Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, No Motorcycle Operator's License, Resisting Arrest, and Failure to Register Transfer of Motor Vehicle.

Officer Ashurst received assistance from Sgt. Wade Mitchell, Corporal Ben Webb, and Officer Coty Arnold at the scene, while the London Police Department was helped by the Kentucky State Police and Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
