Molly Ruth Barger

Molly Ruth Barger, a beloved soul who graced this world with her presence, has peacefully passed away at the Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 80. She was a devoted homemaker whose life centered around love, family, and faith. Born on June 6, 1943, in Hyden, KY, Molly was the daughter of the late Doyle Woods and Jesse Jones Woods. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle Woods & Jesse Jones Woods, cherished infant daughter, Carolyn, and one brother, Ronald Dean Woods.

Molly Ruth's heart knew no bounds when it came to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and devotion. She is survived by her loving husband Milton Barger of Bimble, KY; four sons: Milton Dean Barger & Coleen of CA, Roger Lee Barger & Joyce of Franklin, IN, Luther Kent Barger & Christa of Columbus, IN, Ronald Dale Barger of Columbus, IN; one daughter: Paula Hensley & Steven of Barbourville, KY; three brothers: Gordon Woods of Franklin, OH, Noah Woods & Jan of Buckhorn, KY, Doyle Woods Jr. & Shirley of Oneida, KY; two sisters: Annie Jewell Holland of Bear Branch, KY and Mary Agnes Gay of Big Creek, KY. Molly Ruth also leaves behind nine treasured grandchildren, Melissa Clark & Timothy, Lindsei Pies, Jacob Dale Barger, Paige Rice and Allen, Morgan Barger, Steven Shane Hensley & Katie, Joshua Chance Hensley & Tracy, Gordon White, Kyle White and 15 treasured, great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.

Molly Ruth's proudest accomplishments included being a lifelong resident of Leslie County, KY and an active member of the Mt. Paran Baptist Church at Saul, KY. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life.Outside her roles as a homemaker and mother, Molly Ruth found joy in sewing and flower gardening. But above all else, Molly cherished spending quality time with her children and grandchildren,making memories that will be treasured forever.

The visitation for Molly Ruth Barger will take place on Saturday- April 20th starting at 6:00 PM at Dwayne Walker Funeral Home- Hyden, KY. The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday-April 21st at 2:00 PM. with additional visitation starting at 10:00 am at the Mt. Paran Baptist Church until the funeral hour at 2:00 P.M.. Rev. Robert Rice and Rev. Randy Woods will be officiating the services. Interment will follow the service at the Government Cemetery at Saul, KY with the following serving as pallbearers: Steve Henlsey, Roger Barger, Jacob Barger, Milton Dean Barger, Connor Clark and Roy Dean Woods. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Holland and Doyle Gay
