Jeannie Hensley George

Jeannie Hensley George passed peacefully to her heavenly home with her husband and son by her side. She was a member of the liberty Worship Center where she found her true relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ. She loved her Praying Mamas and received countless blessings from the fellowship she had with them. She was a first-grade teacher at Bush Elementary for 31 years where she genuinely loved every child that came through her classroom door and they loved her. She had an art of mesmerizing her students with the books she read to them and many of them still remember.
After retirement, she enjoyed working as a real estate agent with Sallie Davidson Realtors where she often joked that she wanted to be the secretary. Jeannie had a heart and personality larger than life. Her smile could light up a room and anyone who ever met her, loved her. She had a sense of humor that could make even the worst of days better. Most of all, Jeannie was kind. She was a giver. One of her greatest joys in life was giving to others and never expected anything in return.
She loved her family fiercely and enjoyed traveling with family and friends, most especially to the beach. Jeannie also enjoyed the little things in life like hanging her freshly laundered white sheets on her clothesline on a beautiful sunny day, an extra glass of ice with her diet coke, and all things pink. She only wore red lipstick and wrote with red and greed ink pens in December because of her love for Christmas.
Jeannie was a true beauty inside and out. She will be missed greatly by anyone who knew her, most especially her family and friends.
Jeannie is survived by her husband, Doug George of London, Kentucky; by her son, Tyler George of London, Kentucky; by her siblings, David Hensley and wife Rita, Donna White and husband Doug all of London, Kentucky, Barbara Fields and husband Donnie, and Larry Hensley all of Manchester, Kentucky.
