BIG CREEK, Ky. — If you’re ready for a fright-filled adventure, mark your calendars for one of Clay County’s most thrilling Halloween traditions — the Big Creek Fire Department’s 4th Annual Haunted Forest! The event promises eerie excitement and ghostly fun for all ages on October 24–25 and October 31–November 1 at the Big Creek Horse Ring.
For just $15 per person, brave souls can wander into the misty woods after dusk, where strange sounds echo through the trees and haunting figures emerge from the shadows. Each twist and turn of the trail holds a new surprise — from jump scares and spine-tingling scenes to encounters that will leave your heart racing.
The event kicks off at dusk and runs until the last person standing, making it the perfect way to test your courage under the moonlight.
Organizers say this year’s Haunted Forest is bigger, darker, and scarier than ever before, featuring new scenes, special effects, and a few surprises that even returning visitors won’t see coming. Proceeds from the event benefit the Big Creek Fire Department, helping to support its vital work in protecting the community year-round.
So, gather your friends, hold onto your courage, and step into the Haunted Forest — if you dare. Just remember… once the sun sets, there’s no turning back!
