Charles Donovan Keith, born April 19, 1937, to Stephen and Maude Langdon Keith, went to his heavenly home July 16, 2026, at the age of 89.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Floretta Edwards Keith; his daughter, Vickie Keith Hays; two granddaughters: Lori Hays and Courtney O’Leary (Connor); great-granddaughter, Cassidy Neeley; great-grandson, Landon Cromer; great-great-granddaughter, Aria Clay; his sister, Marilyn Chesnut; brother, Greene Lowell Keith (Jackie); brother-in-law, Ronnie Hacker; sisters-in-law: Mary Keith and Betty Eagle (Rusty); and close family friend, Sheila Bowling. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other extended family, and many close friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles Edward Keith; his sisters: Lawanna Owens, Janet Seal, and Sue Hacker; and by his brother, Stephen C. Keith.
He was a fun-loving father and grandfather.
He worked for many years in the logging and lumber business. He loved driving the big trucks and equipment from a very young age.
Charles served as a faithful deacon at Manchester Baptist Church for many years. He served on the Clay County Board of Education for 20 years and was presently serving as a Board Member for Kentucky Mountain Housing. He was also a Master Mason for over 50 years.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home with Ken Bolin officiating. Burial will follow at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home.
