Darryl Wayne Mathis was born August 1, 1964, in Clay Co., Kentucky to the late Dennis and Sue (Rogers) Mathis and departed this life on Monday August 3, 2026, at the St. Jospeh Hospital in Lexington. He was 62 years of age.
He is survived by his wife Carol and their children Darry Wayne Mathis of Breckinridge Co., and Kayla Mathis of Annville. His grandchildren, Darryl Wayne Mathis, Sara Mathis, Ella Witt, Abigail Smith, Layla Mathis and Anna Faye Mathis. His brothers Edward Lee Mathis, Sam Mathis, Chester Mathis, and Fred Mathis of Manchester.
In addition to his parents Darryl was preceded in death by his sister Mattie Liz Carr.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, August 7, 2026, burial will follow in the Robinson Cemetery.
A visitation will begin on Friday at 11 A.M. on Friday at the Lakes Funeral Home Chapel in McKee.
