Mrs. Ida (Collins) Hubbard, age 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born on April 9, 1945, in Manchester, Kentucky, Ida lived a life defined by love, faith, and devotion to her family.
Ida dedicated her life to caring for those she loved most. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she poured her heart into her family and expressed her love through tireless work, kindness, and selfless care. Her family was her greatest joy, and her presence was a source of comfort and strength to all who knew her.
Ida was a member of the Whitehall Baptist Church, and her strong Christian faith guided her throughout life, sustaining her through both challenges and blessings and serving as a foundation she passed on to her family.
Ida is survived by her loving husband, John Hubbard Jr.; her children Donna Gray and husband Glenn, Regina Hubbard, and Larry Hubbard and wife Courtney; and her cherished grandchildren, Bailey Hubbard and John Lucas Hubbard, all of Manchester. She is also survived by her brothers Charlie Collins, Harvey Dean Collins, Harold Wayne Collins, and Lawrence Collins, all of Manchester.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Idell Collins, and her siblings America Croucher, Elsie Mae Harmon, Magadline Smith, Joe B. Collins, Nellie Hatfield, Delbert Collins, and Scott Collins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ida (Collins) Hubbard will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Herman Mills and Joe Crockett officiating. Burial will follow at the Hubbard-Stacy Cemetery in Garrard.
Pallbearers: John Lucas Hubbard, Trevor Crockett, Jason Stewart, Billy Ray Smith, John Davis, and Tommy Lynn Harmon.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel.
