Joe Couch, Jr., age 81, of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at AdventHealth Hospital in Manchester, Kentucky. He was born on January 23, 1945, in Leatherwood, Kentucky, the son of the late Joe Couch, Sr. and Mary Arnett Couch.
Joe will be remembered with love by his family and friends. He is survived by his sons, Eddie Lee Joseph and Randy Couch; his grandchildren, Cristy Wagers, William Couch, Randy Joe Couch, Jr., Eddie Joe Joseph, Jalen Couch, and Bryce Couch; and his great-grandchildren, Camden Craig, Jackson Couch, Delora Joseph, Penelope Joseph, and Calliope Joseph. He is also survived by his siblings, Pleas Couch of Saul, Kentucky, Marthie Blithe of Indianapolis, Indiana, Gracie Estep of Saul, Kentucky, Rachel Couch of Manchester, Kentucky, Mary Estep of Manchester, and Myrtle Davidson of Oneida, Kentucky, along with a host of other family and friends who will cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Mills Couch; his brothers, L.C. Couch, Arnold Couch, Ronald Couch, Donald Couch, Larry Couch, and Walter Couch; and his sisters, Juanita Barger and Jeanette Estep.
Funeral services for Joe Couch, Jr. were held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home, with Josh Durham officiating. Burial followed at Spruce Pine Cemetery in Saul, Kentucky.
