Lola Lewis, age 81, of Manchester, KY, passed away on February 26, 2026, at Barbourville ARH Hospital. Born on March 11, 1944, in Oneida, KY, she was the beloved daughter of the late Walter and Odessa Sester Byrd.
Lola was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Lewis; and her daughter, Melissa Sizemore. She is survived by her son, David Keith Lewis of Manchester; her daughter, Pamela Barrett and husband Charles of Tyner; and her cherished sister, Ida Mae Finley of Tyner. Lola’s legacy continues through her grandchildren—Lucas Sizemore, Jonathan Hacker, Kristin Schoolcraft, and Ryan Barrett—and her great-grandchildren, Makenlee Hacker, Everlee Hacker, Madisyn Schoolcraft, Cambria Forman, Jack Hacker, Colton Forman, and Samuel Schoolcraft.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Herbert Byrd and Ernest Byrd, as well as her sisters, Lois Grubb, Dema Younts, and Mary Gregory.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home, with Danny Ray Murphy and Ted Eversole officiating. Lola was laid to rest at Younts Cemetery in Oneida.
Lola will be remembered for her devotion to her family and the love she shared with all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
