Marsha Thompson Bruner, age 75, of Gray, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at UK HealthCare in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on September 3, 1950, in Beverly, Kentucky, to the late Oscar and Goldie Carpenter Thompson.
Marsha is survived by her sons, Kevin Bruner and wife Gretchen of Corbin, and Nick Bruner of Gray, who is an Iraq combat veteran and is accompanied by his service dog. She is also survived by her grandchild, Cory Coots.
She is survived by her brothers, Morris Thompson and wife Esther, and Melvin Thompson, both of London, Kentucky. She is also survived by special nieces Michelle Ledford, Jessica Hibbard, and Shelley Owsley, along with several nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Goldie Carpenter Thompson; her daughter, Tracy Lynn Bruner; her brothers, Myron Thompson, who passed in the Vietnam War in 1968, and Michael Thompson; and her nephew, Myron Glenn Thompson.
Funeral services for Marsha Thompson Bruner will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home with Mike Addison and Morris Thompson officiating. Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Thompson Cemetery on Goose Rock.
