Stafford Curtis “Chip” Robinson, 71, passed away Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, in London, Kentucky. He was born July 14, 1955, in Oneida, Kentucky, to Curtis and Lorraine Stafford Robinson.
Chip retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation. He was also a veteran of the United States Army, where he served with the 101st Airborne Division as a Screaming Eagle.
He was survived by his daughter, Lisa Renee Robinson Amburgey; brother, Lance Ryan Robinson; stepchildren, Reanna Woody and David Inman and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Christopher Jordan Tate Amburgey and MaKinzie J. Hacker; step-grandchildren, Terri Lenae Smith, Haley Michelle Woody and Jayden Jones; and step-great-grandchildren, Hayden Grace Smith and Charlie Ryan Combs.
He was also survived by his sister, Judy Carol Robinson Maricle and Cletus; special nephew, Rusty Roberts; special niece, Donna Leah Maricle Mobley; several other nieces and nephews; and special friends, Stanley Roberts, Rocky Robinson and Roger Samples.
In addition to his parents, Curtis and Lorraine Robinson, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Ruth Robinson; sister, Donna Robinson Roberts; brother, William Compton Robinson; and son-in-law, Ricky Amburgey.
Funeral services for Stafford Curtis “Chip” Robinson were conducted Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Rusty Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the B.F. White Cemetery in Manchester.
The family received friends and loved ones Wednesday after noon at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
