Stanley Smith, age 75, of Big Creek, KY, passed away peacefully at his home on May 5, 2026. Born in Hyden, KY, on June 18, 1950, Stanley was the son of Hobert and Mollie Morgan Smith
Stanley was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Gray Smith, his parents, Hobert and Mollie Morgan Smith, and his brother, Bobby Smith.
He is survived by his loving children: Stanley (Danielle) Smith, Jr. of Manchester, Melinda Smith of Big Creek, Candice (Loss) Smith of Tipp City, and Selena (Josh) Smith of Manchester. He was a proud grandfather to Malik Taylor, Makayla (Josh) Brown, Haley (Peyton) Jones, Brantley Smith, and Gracelyn Smith; and a doting great-grandfather to Sylvia Brown.
Stanley is also survived by his brothers, Earl Smith and Glenn Smith of Big Creek, who will miss him dearly.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Britton Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at 6 PM on Monday, May 11, 2025. Funeral services will take place at 12 PM on Tuesday, May 12, 2025, also at Britton Funeral Home. Stanley will be laid to rest at Glady Branch Cemetery in Stinnett, KY.
He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him for his kindness, dedication to his family, and the lasting impact he made on his community.
