Jackson charged with DUI in accident

Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested William Jackson, age 61, of Manchester, KY, on Friday afternoon, March 15, 2024, at approximately 2:07 PM. The arrest occurred on Hal Rogers Parkway, approximately 9 miles east of London, after Deputy Roberts was dispatched to investigate a non-injury two-vehicle traffic crash. Upon arrival at the scene, Deputy Roberts conducted an investigation and determined that the driver of a blue-colored GMC was under the influence. This individual was found in possession of prescription drugs, not in the proper container. William Jackson was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense.
