Lewis Leon Burns

Lewis Leon Burns, 73, of Oneida, KY, passed away Saturday, April 13th, at his home.

Lewis was born in Brutus, KY on May 31, 1950, a son of the late Lee and Elizabeth Baker Burns. He attended Panco Community Church and Brutus Baptist Church, and was a Kentucky Colonel.

Lewis is survive by his wife, Irene Byrd Burns, and his daughter, Stephanie Jarvis and husband Gerbal of Manchester.

He is also survived by his sister, Gail Young and husband Robert of Hindman; his grandchildren: Ashton Jarvis and Kayla Bowling; his great-grandchildren: Carter Hall and Finley Estep; and by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by his son, Lewis Burns, Jr.; and the following brothers and sister: Coy Burns, Cecil Burns, Frank Stormy Burns, Paul Burns, and Oma Combs.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to made to WLJC Hour of Harvest, P.O. Box Y, Beattyville, KY 41311.

Services will be held at a later date.
