Evacuations underway due to gas fire

Evacuations are now underway due to the gas fire at Vinland Energy.

Everyone who has been exacuated for the gas plant fire on Gabbard’s Fork, including the Laurel Creek Nursing home. Many of those patients will be taken to AdventHealth. Emergency Management along with American Red Cross has opened a shelter at Manchester Elementary School and the county community center at Greenbriar.
