Buena Faye Collins Marcum

Buena Faye Collins Marcum, 74, passed away Tuesday, June 3rd, at the AdventHealth Manchester Hospital.

Buena Faye was born in Manchester, KY, on March 15th, 1951, a daughter of the late Robert “Bob” and Dorcas Collins.

If you knew Buena Faye, you knew her love for helping others. She has never seen a stranger and would welcome anyone into her home. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend.

Buena Faye is survived by her husband, Rubin Marcum, of which they have been married for 57 years.

She is also survived by the following children: Rubin Allen Marcum (Anita), Kim Marcum (Kenny Price), and Amy Saylor (Wade Saylor), all of Manchester.

As well as the following grandchildren: Steven Marcum, Chad Marcum, Liberty Taylor, Morgan Davidson, Addison Saylor, and Alana Marcum; the following great-grandchildren: Anakin Marcum and Octavia Marcum; and she was also like a mother to, Angela Sue Spurlock Buchanan and Bruce Junior Smith, along with many others.

Also surviving is her brother, Charles Collins and wife Sudie of Manchester, along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Buena Faye is preceded in death by her grandson, James Hayden Marcum; and by her siblings: Bessie Carol Mitchell, James David “Roho” Collins, and Robert Don Collins.

Services for Buena Faye will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 6th, at Britton Funeral Home, with Paul Mitchell, Gary Harris, and Roy Lane Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the Collins France Cemetery on Big Creek.

Visitation for Buena Faye will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 5th, at Britton Funeral Home.
